IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A BLUE DEVIL

Intresting bit of useless trivia. Wa-Hi won the state baseball championship in 1988.
The Devils deafeated the Decatur Golden Gators in the semifinals. Then defeated Juanita high school in the finals. Juanita's starting pitcher was Cody Webster. The same player who was the star of the 1982 little league world series.

Chiawana also featured here is the new high school in Pasco.

During the 1980 Western Conference Finals the defending world champion Sonics were forced to played two home games on the campus of the University of Washington. Apparently their were concerts scheduled for the Seattle Center Arena and a Mariners home stand at the Kingdome.

These days arenas try to leave playoff dates open and if their is a conflict the NBA has priority.

Blue Devil Highlights Including Drew And Dean On The local News

The is a Friday night round up luckily the Wa-Hi game and Bledsoe interview are at the beginning

Drew Bledsoe talks about how he never got to play in the new gym. As I was sitting in the new gym I was thinking about how nice a facility it is. At the same time the noise and energy seemed to dissipate in comparison to the old gym where almost every big game was standing room only and the fans were right on top of the court.
